Tanner was born on Pioneer Day (July 24th).
We tried to convince his parents that they should
name him Brigham or Ephraim in honor of the day
he was born. I guess Martin was Pioneer enough...

Moving Day

Dear VanOrmans,

Thanks for the memories, a great college job, an opportunity to be in California, dinners at El Ranchito, surfing, hobby buddying, shopping, but most important of all, your friendship. Huntington Beach definitely will not be the same with out you. We love you.

Nightly Ritual

Jack loves to go for walks in his stroller.
This summer it has been our nightly ritual to put
Jack in his p.j.'s and head out for a walk.

7-7-07: The Luckiest Day of the Century

The other day I was reading in the paper that last
Saturday was,numerically speaking,
the LUCKIEST DAY OF THE CENTURY!
Apparently, all the courthouses around the
country were packed with brides and grooms
hoping to be blessed with luck for
marrying on 7-7-07.

This got me thinking, did I have "good luck"
on 7-7-07? Folks, the answer is-
"Oh yeah!"

Last Saturday was the, never disappointing,
O'Neill warehouse sale. For those of you who
don't live in Orange County, O'Neill is one of
about 20 large Surf Brands who have set up
their Corporate Headquarters just miles
from my home. For me, this means
the opportunity to go to insane sales
through out the year on really
cute clothes. Check out my haul...



What makes the O'Neill sale so INSANE, is
that nothing is over $10 and prices are slashed as
the sale goes on. The most expensive thing in my
pile-o-finds was 7 bucks.

This is the post that never ends...

It's been a busy couple of weeks. I feel bad that
I haven't kept you better informed. To make up for my
bad blogging I have blogged and blogged. Below are
the major events us Howes have been up to. Enjoy!

Life's Beachy

Saturday, almost the whole Howe Clan went to the beach. We built a city, secured it with a fort, and enjoyed the sun.

It was fun to have everyone vacationing here in Huntington. Thanks for the memories. We love you all!

Celebrating the 4th Pushum Pullum Style!

Since we have been married Kent and I have enjoyed going to Ventura for the Fourth of July. We love the small town atmosphere, the Ventura 1st & 2nd Ward Pancake Breakfast, the Street Fair, and the Fire Works. But our favorite Independence day activity is the Pushum Pullum Parade. Here are the rules-Only kids and parents participate and all "floats" must either be pushed or pulled. Needless to say this parade is a hoot.

Playing Tourist (June 23)

I read in the newspaper a couple weeks ago that
Huntington Beach's population jumps a whopping
100,000 during tourist season.
In honor of the out-of-towners that invade our home,
Kent and Idecided to hit the
boardwalk for a day of "sight seeing."

Sadly I forgot to snap a picture of the pier, but don't worry
I didn't forget the water treatment facility. Somehow
this historic landmark is always forgotten
in the tourist brochures...
